Lalor Park, sometimes still called Seven Hills West, has the shops at Freeman St and Northcott Rd at its centre. It is an established suburb, and plenty of the cars parked along its streets are well past their fifth birthday. Andrew’s Mechanical at 3 Goulburn St, Kings Park is a straight run along Vardys Rd. Lalor Park drivers come to us for pink slips, brakes, exhaust work, diagnostics, LPG and regular servicing.

Getting to us from Lalor Park

From the Freeman St shops, Lalor Park Public School or Twin Gums Reserve, make your way up to Vardys Rd and head west. Follow Vardys Rd past Morgan Power Reserve, go straight across Sunnyholt Rd into Kings Park and keep going through the industrial area towards Marayong station. Goulburn St is in the pocket of streets beside the station, near the Marayong Hotel.

Outside peak hour the drive is about 9 minutes from the shops. If you would rather not wait, Marayong station is a few minutes’ walk away, and buses run along the T-way on Sunnyholt Rd. If your car is not safe to drive, call us first and we can talk through your options.

Common jobs for Lalor Park cars

  • Pink slips and blue slips – Most light vehicles more than five years old need a pink slip each year before rego can be renewed. We are an Authorised Inspection Station, so we can do the inspection and explain anything that needs fixing. If a car has been off the road with rego expired for more than three months, it needs an AUVIS blue slip, which we also do.
  • Brakes and suspension – Older cars on local streets with speed humps and roundabouts wear bushes, shocks and brake parts. Worn brakes and suspension are also common reasons a car fails a pink slip, so it pays to get them checked before your rego is due rather than on the day.
  • Exhaust – Rust, broken mounts and blowing joints are common on older exhausts. A louder-than-usual exhaust or fumes in the cabin should be looked at promptly.
  • Engine diagnostics and repairs – Oil leaks, overheating, rough running and warning lights become more common as cars age. We find the cause first, then give you clear options so you can decide whether a repair is worth it.
  • LPG – If your car runs on gas, we service and repair LPG systems and handle new LPG installations.
  • Logbook and general servicing – Regular oil changes and servicing keep an older car going longer and help it pass its next pink slip. For newer cars, we service to the manufacturer’s logbook schedule.
